A monitoring system to safely inspect and manage pedestrian suspension bridges at famous tourist spots!
Suspension Bridge Safety Management Technology:
Did you know that there are over 200 pedestrian suspension bridges in South Korea? Major pedestrian suspension bridges, well-known as tourist attractions, attract over 2 million visitors annually.
As the number of users increases, safety becomes an increasingly important issue. Currently, maintenance and management are conducted independently by local governments, making it difficult to enhance and standardize safety management.
‘Pedestrian Suspension Bridge Safety Management Technology’ - developed to solve these challenges - is a customized safety management system designed to detect abnormal vibration and movement in pedestrian bridges.
This technology uses non-destructive inspection equipment, allowing monitoring without damaging the bridge. By simply connecting devices to the cables, it offers detailed monitoring, including the psychological effects of vibrations on pedestrians.
